Course subject(s) Module 1. The Professional Responsibility of Engineers

Applying the KIVI Code of Conduct in practice

The KIVI code of conduct provides moral guidance on a number of topics; it discusses obligations to the wider society, such as minimizing the introduction of health and safety risks, research ethics, such as publication practices, and professional integrity, such as confidentiality duties. In the following three learning units we ask you to reflect on three topics that are discussed in the KIVI code and many other professional codes of conduct; whistle blowing, conflicts of interest and communication.
