In the final video of week 4, we discuss the inertial level of microgrids during both grid connected and islanded modes. In particular during the islanded mode, microgrids suffer a lot from the lack of the inertial response. You will therefore learn about the inertial emulation loop, which is an effective solution to increase the inertia in microgrids.
