“How can we deal with our environment in a sustainable way?” The answer to this question is not easy to give. We are faced with all kinds of challenges related to a changing climate: how to build our houses and cities in a sustainable and climate proof way, how to ensure the safety of low lying areas like delta’s, how to cope with greenhouse gasses. Delft engineers and scientists approach these issues in many different ways and from many different angles. Within the projects of Delft Environment Initiative we bring together their expertise – combined with that of our partners – and strive to provide integrated answers to the challenges facing society today, and tomorrow.
