It is important to take your data analysis into account in your research design.

• In qualitative analysis, small samples are used. Identifying your population and finding a suitable sample is crucial.
• Much of the validation of qualitative research is based on the research process being carried out correctly: Look up the protocol for your chosen method, field test and practice your protocols, and if necessary enlist help from experienced researchers.
• Keep exhaustive records of your research, store recordings, keep meticulous notes and other relevant material, whilst keeping ethical and data regulations in mind.
• Prepare how you will transcribe your data.
