There is a wealth of literature on how to conduct stakeholder engagement.

But in this section, we will focus in a nutshell on some overarching principles for stakeholder engagement within the context of complex problems and co-creation.

  • We will start with the starting points for building trust
  • Then we will discuss normative, social, and substantive principles.

Note:

  • There is no blueprint for stakeholder engagement!
  • The readings will provide you with more information.

Trust!!

Key for stakeholder engagement is trust. Without trust, the process will fail.
