Haptic Applications I

In the following lecture Tricia Gibo discusses the first part of the the Haptics Applications I lecture. First, the lecturer gives a brief history of haptics after which she discusses three general applications for haptics: teleoperation, simulating reality and enhancing reality.

Biosignals, Body-Machine Interfaces, and Exoskeletons

In the following lecture Jack Schorch discusses the second part of the Haptics Applications I lecture. First, He discusses biosignals: any kind of signal that can be measured from a living being. Also the body machine interface, otherwise known as the brain computer interface, is discussed to understand the last subject of the lecture: exo-skeletons. During the lecture the lecturer ask the students to participate in two exercises ranging from biosignals to design an exo-skeleton.
