In this video we will take a look at the device that converts light into electricity, the solar cell. We will discuss an important aspect for any electrical component, the current-voltage or “I-V” characteristic of the solar cell. This video’s objective is to answer ‘what’. You will gain an understanding of the ‘why’ and ‘how’ in the remainder of this course.
