In the second part of Prof. Dick van Gameren’s lecture he will share more details about the project he developed for the regeneration of Thamesmead. He will discuss the parallels between what happened in the last 160 years in London and what is happening now in the so-called Global Urban south, with a particular focus on the case of Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. In his lecture, Dick will challenge you to start developing your own position regarding the role that architectural projects can play to deliver good and affordable housing, creating in our cities a humane habitat for all.
