To make sure electronic devices do not break when they are connected to the electrical grid, we have to make sure that the power grid remains stable and does not fluctuate too much. For example, the voltage and the frequency of the power has to stay between certain limits to guarantee safety. This lecture will discuss the different ancillary services that are performed by the grid operators and how renewables have to fulfil these services.
