1.5.1 Values: Interview with Salim Hadri

Course subject(s) Module 1. The Professional Responsibility of Engineers

Below we have an interview with Salim Hadri, Chief Revenues Officer Milvum, a company for digital innovation and transformation.

He will talk about companies and values.

Question 1:

Salim Hadri mentions family as a core value.

What values are for Hadri related (part of) being a family?

Question 2:

In addition to Transparency, truthfulness and addressing risks directly Salim Hadri also embraces the values of communication, co-creation and the three P’s (people, planet, profit). He argues that the misconduct at Volkswagen of creating software that lowered engine emissions only during tests situation would not have occurred if these values were endorsed.

What is your view on this position? Do you agree with this argument? What is your analysis of how codes of conduct can prevent such misconduct?
