2. Leadership mindsets
The next exercise will be a combination of meditation and visualization. The video you will listen to has two parts.
The first part aims to bring you into a relaxed, meditative state of mind. The reason is that thinking about your future life is hard to do purely cognitively. In this meditative state, we hope your intuition and spontaneous thoughts and feelings are triggered.
In the second part, you will asked to imagine that you are attending your own 70th birthday celebration. The audio voice will guide you through this imagination and ask several questions. After the exercise you can capture your findings in a book.
For the results to be most optimal, make sure that you find a quiet spot where you can sit on a chair without disruption for 10 minutes and where you can listen to the video.
Place your feet on the ground and hold your arms loosely in your lap. Start the video.
So how do you feel? Did the first part of the file bring you in a meditative state of mind? And in the second part: who delivered the speech for you? What did the people that spoke tell you?
We have selected two extra video’s on meditation for you. These two video’s show real life business leaders explaining why meditation is important to them. The first video is an interview with web developer & CEO Hjörtur Hilmarsson. The second video is an interview with video author & CEO Alka Dhillon.
