Module 2. Challenges
Module 2 is all about the challenges surrounding critical raw materials. In a world with a growing population, rapid technological change and an emerging middle class in many countries, the competition for resources can lead to political tensions. You will learn how this applies to critical raw materials. The topics of resource economics and efficiency will be part of this module as well.
Lectures will be mixed with assignments for each part, so that you can apply your learnt knowledge. You will finish the week again with a quiz to check your understanding of the concepts explained in the lectures.
If current production and consumption patterns continue, we will need two planets by 2050 and four by 2100.
