Transition Theory for Sustainable Cities

The term “transition” is widely used in sustainability research and policy. In this video, the environmental sociologist and professor Bas van Vliet, will provide a formal definition of the term “transition” in the context of sustainability studies. He will also illustrate the process of transitions with a well-known model developed by F.W. Geels.
