2.2.5 Example B: Flow through a sloped tube

Course subject(s) 2. The momentum balance

We are going to take a look at water flowing through a cylindrical sloped tube. The length of the tube is L=100 m and the heigh is H=4 m. The diameter of the tube is 10 cm. And, the roughness, ϵ, is 1 mm, so the wall is not smooth. The pressure is atmospheric on both ends of the tube.

If we assume the situation is steady state and entrance and exit effects can be neglected, what is the average velocity of the water flowing through the tube?

Sorry but there don't seem to be any downloads..
