2.3.1 Use of Demand Flexibility

Course subject(s) 2. Flexibility Through Energy Storage & Demand Side Management

“As long as everything is exactly the way I want it, I’m totally flexible”

-Lorelai Gilmore, fictional character from TV show “Gilmore Girls”

Instead of looking for flexibility in the generation side or in the storage, flexibility can also be found on the demand side. This means that the energy demand is adjusted such that the grid can operate properly. This lecture will discuss the different types of demand flexibility and how it can be measured.
