2.4.1 Non-Financial Factors

Economics matter a lot when deciding to switch your fleet to electric vehicles. But how about non-financial factors, such as the range of the vehicle and the concept of range anxiety? How do you calculate the emissions for a vehicle over its entire lifetime? Watch this lecture by Rick Wolbertus to learn more about these topics.

Learning goals for this lecture are to:

        • Get an idea of the range you need for the driving needs in your fleet
        • Understand how the range of the vehicle can influence driveability
        • Learn why recharging only overnight is mostly sufficient
        • Be able to apply the concept of life cycle assessment
        • Describe the factors that influence the lifetime of the battery in an electric vehicle
