Course subject(s) Module 2. Addressing sustainability challenges

The digital transformation is radically changing societies and industries and, thus, the idea of sustainability. The shift from linear to circular economies, for instance, has led to decoupling economic growth from natural ecosystem degradation. For this topic, we will present two web lectures.

First, in the following video, Enrique Cusba García presents fundamental concepts of the Digital Economy, describing the recent technological progress, different technology-driven business models for sustainability, and the role of governments in creating better governance frameworks for smart, sustainable cities.
