Welcome to lecture 2! This lecture will cover compressibility, but for that we first need to start with the basics: thermodynamics.
In this lecture, Mr. Timmer will touch upon the subject of isentropic flows and derive some powerful equations that we will use throughout the course.
Most of you will have heard of the “sound barrier”. What happens when we reach the speed of sound, and how can we find how fast that is? Mr. Timmer will explain these and other topics in this video!
We promised to apply the knowledge we gained so far on supersonic wind tunnels and rocket engines; here we go!
In this video, Mr. Timmer will show you how to use and apply all the formulas we have lined up: in this case for a supersonic wind tunnel.
