3.1.1 Climate, how does it function

Course subject(s) 3. Climate, sediment production and deposition in the continental domain

In this third module you will learn about climate and of the processes controlling wind and current patterns in the Earth. You will also explore the changes affecting climate over the different time lengths.

Combining video clips and various exercises, you will focus on climate and how this change through time. This knowledge is key for the prediction of properties of sedimentary successions.

In the first video clip of this module you are introduced to the main elements of climate essentially explained in terms of energy interactions between Sun and Earth.
