A significant part of our energy consumption is used for transportation (See https://www.iea.org/sankey/). Currently, most cars drive on fossil fuels, which is not sustainable. An alternative solution is to use cars that drive on electricity. This lecture will introduce the concept of electric vehicles and discuss different aspects.
