3.1.1 Module 3 Intro Video models in Architecture

Course subject(s) Module 3 – Digital 3D Models

In this video, Martijn gives a short overview of what to expect in the third week.

After last week’s major technical leap forwards, this week we will go back to physical models and look specifically at models with an urban and contextual scale.

Contextual models can also be digital. An example of this is Google Earth, which could be said to be the biggest 3D model that is readily available to us all. At the end of the video, Martijn will show the campus of the TU Delft as a 360 photo and as a digital model in VR. Such combinations of media have become daily practice in some architecture offices. Architects now use VR to have remote collaboration meetings with shared digital models and participants from all over the world.
