This module’s theory consists of four clips on availability, apart from the introduction video by Margot Weijnen.

Aad Correljé eleborates on the concept of energy & energy services, availability and what challenges that brings per energy source. Afterwards, Rudi Hakvoort discusses quality of supply, as well as the regulation that comes with it. Lastly, Geert Deconinck explains the concept of a smart grid, and what challenges with respect to availability in this new future technology.

In the first clip of this section Aad Correljé discusses different sources of energy, and how the availability of that specific source of energy is secured. Also, three crucial elements of the provision are outlined.
