Overhead power lines are everywhere. Typically electricity infrastructures contain a main structure with high-voltage cables, and there are local grids at lower voltages. You are in a country where high-voltage cables are used to carry electricity at 720kV.  High-voltage power lines produce electromagnetic fields. The question is, how safe is it to live near these lines and the electromagnetic fields?

Suppose you are the advisor to the governor of a region. The governor is in favour of the construction of these power lines near a residential area. The lines are 100 metres away from this area, in compliance with statutory requirements, and in the governor’s view this is sufficiently safe. The statutory requirements in your country are already very strict, compared to other countries. Moreover, the region simply needs these power lines and there is no alternative trajectory.

The governor will be on a television show and will be faced with a couple who have been on television before. The host of the television show will first show this video and will then give the governor one minute to respond.
