3.3.2 Drinking Water and Sanitation Provision in Informal Settlements

In the previous video, we saw that users can be important stakeholders in the decision-making process. But citizens are not just co-decision makers. In the next video, Patience Mguni will show you that in the informal settlements, people often have to take initiative themselves. In these circumstances, it is up to communities to realise some sort of drinking water service and sanitation together with private vendors, informal businesses, NGOs and public service providers.
