So far you have learnt about the qualitative consequences of an increasing demand of raw materials, but did you know there are tools to quantify those effects? Professor Stefano Cucurachi from Leiden University will give you an introduction to one of those tools in this video: Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).

In this first video, Stefano provides an introduction to the life cycle of a product. In this context, he also explains what LCA is, and which stages and processes it involves.
