4.1.2 What is remanufacturing?

Course subject(s) Module 4: Remanufacturing

In this video, Anna Karin Jönbrink will give an introduction about what remanufacturing is, and also describes some existing remanufacturing cases from industry.

Now you have learned more about what remanufacturing is, and also seen some examples. The idea is to create products that are in an “as-new” condition.

Also of importance is to keep as much of the value already put into the used product in terms of material, but also energy and labour.

Finally: Don’t forget, when designing new products, your focus should not only be to improve the remanufacturing of today’s products, but to design new products for a better future!
