4.1.3 Primary Control
Course subject(s)
Module 4: Intelligent Local Controllers
Primary frequency control is the first control level that is activatedwhen a power unbalance occurs in the network. Many conventional units use the governor to react to the frequency changes in the grid. Therefore we address the dynamic behaviour of the governor first, and then discuss the droop control concepts, with which you became familiar in the preceding Microgrid Control Assignments.
