4.1.4 Secondary and Tertiary Control

When primary control fails, or proves insufficient to resolve an unbalance, other control levels are activated. In this video, you will learn how the secondary control in a two area network helps recover the frequency to the nominal value. Then, we discuss the role of the tertiary control to adjust the power reference set points of the units, hours after the disturbance.
