Welcome to module 5. In this module you will be presented with some of the main challenges facing hydrocarbon systems, from environment to social. You will be able to describe the main stages of hydrocarbon exploration and production.

In the first clip you will be provided with a short history of hydrocarbon as an energy source and the challenges facing hydrocarbons in the future. These are highly sensitive issues, but every geoscientist must be aware of them and develop his/her opinion. I encourage you also to read other sources!
