Having met the Waag Society in Amsterdam, you can see that we are about to discover a very different context for citizens and air quality in this European region of the world. Our host, prof. Maarten Krol will now introduce you in more detail to the topics that we will address in this chapter of the course. By studying these topics, you will learn how citizens are engaged in sustainability transitions for  better air quality in the cities of Amsterdam and Kampala.
