5.4.1 Importance of Model Fidelity of Energy Conversion Technologies

Course subject(s) 5. Multi-carrier Grid Integration

“All models are wrong, but some are useful”

-George Box, statistician

In the last video, the concept of co-simulation was introduced. Within a co-simulation, different models are used to simulate a certain object or system. However, a model can never be completely accurate, and therefore errors can occur. This lecture will discuss the importance of model fidelity and show an example to illustrate the importance of an accurate model.
