In this video, you will be entertained by an expert in Industrial Biotechnology and the Bioeconomy: Professor Wim Soetaert has (co-)founded two successful companies active in biotech and the bioeconomy (BBEPP and Inbiose). He also inspires students about these subjects as a teacher at Ghent University. He also heads the research lab InBio.be, which is world renowned for its work on Microbial Biosurfactants. Prof. Soetaert will explain the general principles of an integrated bioprocess design (IBD) approach and how such approach enables the commercialization of new bioproducts of the bioeconomy.
