For cities to become carbon neutral, they need to undergo profound changes in their energy system. In Amsterdam, this energy transition is predominantly focused on smart and decentralized solutions. PhD candidate Robin Smale will introduce Amsterdam’s energy transition and he will discuss some of the socio-technological challenges that this transition has created.
