In the following video, Anna-Karin Jönbrink talks about the uncertain future and scenarios as a possible solution to predict how the product to be designed based on changing trends.
Key points:
- The changes that impact the product design are new legislation, infrastructure, transport, new production and recycling technology.
- Future scenarios might be helpful to make predictions for the future. A good example is the “What if ” scenario. Considering the effect that different changing trends might have on the business or products. Trends such as climate change, growing population, technical developments, changing policies etc. can be examined.
