Citizens and Energy Storage

When talking about transitions towards smart and decentral grids, energy storage is a relevant topic. Some people even talk about a ‘storage revolution’ which would serve as “the missing link” between the peaks of demand and supply for renewable energies like solar and wind power. In this video, Dr. Sanneke Kloppenburg of Wageningen University will introduce the topic of energy storage and highlight its social and political aspects. At the end of this video, Sanneke will introduce the ‘virtual power plant-project’ in Amsterdam which she is currently researching.  We will investigate this project further in the upcoming videos.
