6.4.2 Urban Mobility

Course subject(s) Module 6 – Energy & Air 3: Creating Smart Energy & Mobility

Mobility Chains

Urban mobility is characterized by switching between different forms of transport: you walk to a bus stop, take the bus to the train station, get on and off the train, and then cycle to your final destination.  Jan Anne Annema will explain these ‘mobility chains’. He will explain how important the connections in mobility chains are for urban mobility transitions. You will come to see just how important these transitions between transport modalities are for the appeal and the ultimate success of these forms of slow mobility.
