Introduction to Food and the Use of Urban Spaces

Welcome to module 7!

In this module, we will address two closely related topics: urban food and urban green spaces. The first section of this module will deal with the food system, focusing on Hanoi, Vietnam. Here, health and food safety are pressing issues that compel citizens to seek alternatives. Halfway through the module, we will switch to Amsterdam, where we will discuss Urban Greenhouses and the competition for space in dense urban areas.

In this video, you will meet the host of the module: Dr. Sigrid Wertheim-Heck, who will further introduce the content of this chapter.
