In this first part of the module, we will look at how the citizens of Hanoi are co-creating their city’s food system. In the following video, Sigrid Wertheim-Heck will introduce Hanoi’s food system and the challenges it is confronted with. The food system involves a combination of modern supermarkets on the one hand and wet-markets and street vending on the other. The former are increasingly promoted by governments at the expense of the latter.
