Now you have seen that innovative measurement techniques are being developed to involve citizens in rainfall measurements and water nuisance monitoring. But citizens not only help to ensure ”dry feet”, they can also be involved in monitoring activities that relate directly to the challenge of ensuring a “healthy urban environment”. In the next video, you will be introduced to The Clean Water Experiment, where citizen scientists assisted the water authority in monitoring the surface water quality by performing various experiments.
