Course subject(s) Module 8 – Urban Water: Dry Feet for Citizens

Tackling Water Quality Issues: the Water Lily Canal

In the previous example, you have seen the importance of thinking about how and when to include citizens in a co-creation process. Sometimes, however, the citizens themselves are the initiators of a project. This is the case in the next example: The Lily Canal. Erik Heijmans will explain to you how citizens have initiated a project to tackle the water quality issues in this canal in Amsterdam. He also raises an important question: whom to involve in a co-creation process?
