9.5.1 Weak string erasure

Course subject(s) 09. Perfect security from physical assumptions

For completeness, let us construct a – admittedly somewhat weird – but very powerful cryptographic primitive: weak string erasure!

From weak string erasure, we can build bit commitment using just classical communication, and hence solve any other tasks using classical or quantum communication. The idea behind using such a weird little cryptographic primitive is that we only have to analyze the security of something quite simple under the assumption of noisy-storage, rather than a much more complex quantum protocol!

Sorry but there don't seem to be any downloads..
