Deterministic and stochastic variables

Course subject(s) 1. Introduction to Observation Theory

In estimation problems we need to link observations from the real-world to the unknown parameters of interest. Thereby we need to consider that some of these variables are of a stochastic nature, others are deterministic. Furthermore, errors will be introduced in the process of taking measurements and linking the mathematical model. In this video, you will learn about the nature of the variables in estimation problems and the so-called idealisation errors.
