Robson, C., (2002) Real world research: A resource for social scientists and practioner-researchers (2nd ed). Malden: MA, Blackwell. (Chapter 2).

In this first hour a short introduction will be given. The aims and learning outcomes of the different modules will be explained, together with what is expected to finish this course successfully. Attitude, Norms, some history (rationalsm, empiricism, positivism) are discussed and critiqued. In the second hour this is contunued, finishing with relativistic and qualitative approaches.
