Introduction to the cases

Course subject(s) Introduction to Creative Problem Solving

In this folder five real life problem owners present you their problem and ask you for help. These are perfect cases to apply and master the techniques you weekly encounter in this MOOC.

In addition, it is also perfectly possible to apply the techniques on a case of your own, on, so to say, your complex problem situation. In the end, that is what this MOOC is about. Getting a grip on your complex problem situation. Note that almost any case is suitable for this MOOC, as long as there are more people involved that have an interest. Any abstraction level is possible, ranging from the problem of what to eat tonight with your family to deciding on how to make a countries energy system more sustainable or finding out how to fight world-wide epidemics.

Whether you work on one of the five cases we provide here, or on your own case does not matter. We strongly encourage you to post your work on the forum for each step / module, so you can learn from reading other cases and get feedback from your peers. Please review the work of at least 2 other participants each step / module (please choose someone who has not received any comments). When doing this, please consider forum guidelines and be constructive.

Working in a group, either virtual via the internet, or in real life, is a great way to discover all the techniques. You can either all have a case of your own, or work together on the same case.

In the end it boils down to picking a case (no matter what case), applying the techniques and putting it on the forum so we can all discuss it.

Good luck!
