Regenerative Systems

Course subject(s) 7 Synthesis

In the next video, Arjan van Timmeren shows that so-called ‘green-blue’ solutions can be integrated into urban areas to achieve potential economic profit and, foremost, prosperity for all citizens. The discussed green-blue solutions are so-called regenerative systems or technologies that make use of or mimic nature such as constructed wetlands.

The video demonstrates several examples of the integration of technologies and urban design. Disciplines such as behaviour, governance, and policy are not discussed. How do you think that these can be integrated into green-blue solutions to make urban areas more sustainable?
