In this lecture, ass. prof. Ten Veldhuis presents the ‘design, build and operate’ aspects of sewer systems.
The design activities are explained including the drafting of the tender documents, followed by the activities during the tendering phase itself. Thereafter the construction phase is discussed. The operation and maintenance of sewer sytems is presented for three typical aspects: management objectives, inspection and rehabilitation.
