Marijn Janssen is a Full Professor in ICT & Governance at the Information and Communication Technology section of the Technology, Policy and Management Faculty of the Delft University of Technology. His research focuses on open government, ICT architectures, open data, design in public-private infrastructures, process orchestration, and shared services.

In this course, Marijn Janssen presents Open Governance and IT architecture concepts.

Gabriela Viale Pereira is Assistant Professor for Information Systems at the Department for E-Governance and Administration at University for Continuing Education Krems and Research Fellow at the Center for Technology in Government at UAlbany. Gabriela’s research interests include digital government and ICT-related Governance topics in the context of smart Governance, smart cities, and government 3.0 as disruptive technologies for data-driven decision-making.

In this course, she teaches Smart City Governance.

Gabriela Viale Pereira

Edimara Luciano is a Professor (Full) in Strategy, Organizations, and Society in the Management Graduate Program at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Her research interests are related to Collaborative Governance, Digital Transformation, ICT Governance, Open Government, Smart Cities, and ICT4D focused on anti-corruption behavior.

She teaches Collaborative Governance and presents the case study ‘We are all Porto Alegre’ in this course.

Edimara Luciano

Lucy Temple is a research associate at the Centre for E-Governance at the University for Continuing Education Krems and deputy coordinator of the Erasmus+ Strengthening Governance Capacity for Smart Sustainable Cities (CAP4CITY) project. Her research focuses on smart, sustainable cities, co-creation of public services, inclusive governance models, technology adoption models, and citizen motivation to co-create.

In this course, she teaches Disruptive technologies in SSC (GIS and Blockchain).

Rachel Benchaya Gans is a PhD Researcher at the Technology, Policy and Management Faculty of the Delft University of Technology and a WP Leader of the Erasmus+ Strengthening Governance Capacity for Smart Sustainable Cities (CAP4CITY) project.  Her research is focused on the Governance and public value creation of disruptive technologies.

Rachel Benchaya Gans

Luiza Azambuja is a PhD candidate in Technology Governance at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), Smart City researcher at FinEst Twins Centre of Smart Cities and local Project Manager of the Erasmus+ Strengthening Governance Capacity for Smart Sustainable Cities. Her current research focuses on identifying factors impacting the transition of cities towards becoming smarter and more sustainable.

In this course, Luiza presents Monitoring and Assessment of SSC solutions.

Luiza Azambuja

Robert Krimmer is the program manager of the Politics and Governance in the Digital Age Master Program at the University of Tartu. He teaches at Tallinn University of Technology, WU Vienna, University of Economics and Business, University of Applied Sciences Hagenberg, and Danube University Krems.  Robert’s research focuses on digital transformation, cross-border e-services, electronic participation and democracy, e-voting, and all issues further developing a digital society.

In this course, he teaches Innovation for Urban Transformation.

Ralf-Martin Soe is a Founding Director of the FinEst Centre for Smart Cities at TalTech. His previous positions include being an ICT Counsellor to the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology, a Supervisory Board Member at the Estonian Internet Foundation, and a Government Fellow at the United Nations University’s e-Government Unit. He has a Ph.D. degree in Technology Governance from TalTech.

In this course, Ralf-Martin presents SSC-related project planning.

Grazyna Musiatowicz-Podbial is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics in Management, Faculty of Management and Economics, the Gdansk University of Technology in Gdansk. Her research interests focus on digital platforms, the impact of digital technology on business model efficiency, and ICT strategy and transformation. 

She presents concepts and tools for strategic planning in this course.

Grażyna Musiatowicz-Podbiał

Aleksander Orłowski, Professor at Gdansk Tech, vice president of Gdańsk Urban Development Association, Consultant of venture capital funds, local governments, and start-ups.  His research focuses on assessing the municipal office’s readiness to implement Smart City projects and business models for Open Data and Smart Mobility.

He presents the lecture Smart Citizens in Smart Cities.

Aleksander Orłowski

Elsa Estévez is a Chair holder of the UNESCO Chair on Knowledge Societies and Digital Governance at UNS, Independent Researcher at CONICET and Full Professor at UNLP, Argentina. Her research interests include context specific public service delivery, development and operation of the Government Chief Information Officer (GCIO) function, Electronic Governance (EGOV) for Sustainable Development, Smart City for Development, and Citizen Participation.

Elsa Estévez introduces Smart Development Goals and Smart Sustainable Cities concepts in this course.

Pablo Thomas is a Full Professor in Software Engineering and database areas in the School of Computer Science at La Plata National University, Argentina. His research is focused on Software Engineering in Mobile Computing, Requirements Engineering, and Relational Databases.

He presents the lectures on User-driven service design and co-creation, Smart Cities Application and the Case Study Participatory Budgeting.

Pablo Thomas

Pablo Fillottrani is a professor at the Computer Science and Engineering Department of the Universidad Nacional del Sur in Bahía Blanca, Argentina. He is also an independent researcher at CIC (Commission for Scientific Research in the Buenos Aires Province) and director of the LISSI research lab.  His research interest includes Information Management, Information Integration, Ontologies and Semantic Web.

He presents Data Governance and Information Management concepts in this course.
