1.1.1 Learning Objectives

Course subject(s) Module 1. Introduction to Open Science

By the end of the first week you will be able to describe the basic concepts and objectives of Open Science and you will gain insight into how Open Science is practiced in your research field. The week will focus on the following topics:

  • introduction to Open Science
  • the advantages of being an open researcher
  • an interview with Karel Luyben, former Rector Magnificus of the TU Delft and the current Dutch national Open Science coordinator

In the first assignment you will interview one of your colleagues in your research field on their views on Open Science in their research field. You will upload the interview answers to edX in order to complete the assignment.
