1.4 Improve your business – Introduction

Course subject(s) 1. Introduction to Business Model testing

Introduction

In the case assignment, you saw how the PESTLE tool can help businesses to think more about their future developments. But can it help your own business too?

Which changes in your business environment may impact your own business model?

In this assignment, we challenge you to use the PESTLE tool for your own business. PESTLE is an acronym for Political, Economical, Societal, Technological, Legal and Ecological developments.

We have created a guide for using the PESTLE tool in this assignment. This guide can be found here or found through the businessmakeover.eu website. This guide contains an explanation on how to use the tool (in a group), an example for McDonalds and an empty sheet of the PESTLE tool. You can print out the sheet, fill it in, take a picture, and upload it.

If you wish to fill in the assignment digitally, please click here for a .docx version of the fill-in sheet and here for a LibreOffice version.

Note: if you would like to see another example for using the PESTLE tool, see the next page / unit or click here. We have created a short assignment video in which we provide two possible answers to the assignment.
