Welcome to the second module of the course “Designing a climate-neutral world”!

Sections

The content of this module is split into five sections with a video followed by exercises in the form of quizzes, polls and assignments. The sections are:

  1. Climate action perspectives for companies
  2. Science-based targets
  3. Interview with Alberto Carillo: Chief Technical Officer and co-founder of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
  4. Managing supply-chain emissions
  5. Corporate climate action in practice: Interview with Jan Maarten from Heineken Brewery

We have prepared additional materials, including open discussions about the presented topics.

Learning outcomes

The second module addresses a variety of topics on the role of companies in climate action. After completion of module 2, you will:

  • Assess the sphere of influence of your own organization.
  • Learn how national climate policies are designed and work, and be able to evaluate the relevance of existing policies for your organization.
  • Learn how ambitious and feasible GHG emission reduction targets for companies are set and discover how to translate these into a climate action plan.
  • Learn to apply approaches to tackle greenhouse gas emissions in supply chains.
